Hart Mine Airport Piper Navajo Crash Site

| On January 14, 1979 a
Piper PA-31 Navajo, tail number N6567L (like the one pictured here)
crashed on an abandoned airport near the old mining site of Hart in the
Mojave Desert, California due to insufficient fuel. No deaths occurred
as a result of this crash landing and the site has since been cleaned up
for the most part. It was freezing cold when we visited this site and snow started to dump on us as we left. |
