Another tram station. Note the 55 Gal. drum used as a ore bucket. The one thing we could not figure out was how in the Hell they got that Model "T" chassis up the mountain. The trail we came up was only a foot trail. One guess was that they hand winched it up the mountain side. On our hike up we did pass by some old Model "T" tires on the trail.
During the Great Depression, men came to the desert in an attempt to scratch out a living by reworking the old mines. This area is a fine example of their attempts to rework old mines at a time when there were no jobs.
