Pioneer Placer Mine at Grass Flat. We hiked down into this huge hydraulic mine, its amazing to see the damage that was done by the water canons that washed away the mountains. 
  There is a 1500 foot drainage tunnel here that allows the water to drain into Slate Creek, but we did not look long enough to find it.
