Most explorers don't know that Nevada has two towns named Gold Point. This Gold Point was at one time a thriving ranching community that supported the local mines. 
  The town became a ghost shortly after the towns people were deceived into voting in democrats for their city council, their failed social programs and high taxes destroyed the town and caused the people to leave for other parts of Nevada.
